Fannin UMC Cemetery Update

After several years of praying and planning, Phase 1 of the Master Plan is NOW READY for burial sites.

The Cemetery Committee and Trustees of Fannin UMC have approved the Contract for Burial Internment Rights. Also a Perpetual Cemetery Fund has been established for care and maintenance.

Each burial plot is $250 for church members and $500 for non-members. Remember, if you relocate and decide on a different burial location, you can sell you plot back to the church. In essence, you have nothing to lose! It is wise planning and is also a benefit to Fannin UMC.

We have another cemetery! That’s right, before there was Fannin UMC, there was Concord Methodist Church South and it had a cemetery just about a mile north of our church. Several members have taken interest in finding, cleaning, and researching the history of our newly discovered treasure. Thank you, Steve Davidson, Tom Freeny, Jeff Morton, Luz Dial and others for what you have and will do.

Of course, we are also very proud of our 5-acre cemetery, whereby anyone may bury his or her loved ones. Plots are reasonably priced--$250 for members and $500 for non-members.
