UMM and UMW

We will have our annual chicken barbeque May 2^nd in conjunction with the UMW’s “Open
Closet” from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Something new this year will be the sale of Memphis Style Barbequed Boston Butts for $35. An average family of four can expect four or five meals from one butt, so you may consider going in with one or more families to buy a ticket. Tickets may be purchased from Tom Freeny, David Coles, or Gerald Reed.

We have several projects in the works.

 

1) Our quilting class has been scheduled for Tuesday nights beginning April 14^th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Since this is the night of our regularly scheduled monthly meeting, we will have refreshments at 6:30 and a very brief meeting, then the quilting class will resume. We do need to know as soon as possible how many of you will be starting a new quilt. Bobbie Rhodes will have all of the materials ready for you at the cost of $31.00. To sign up, please call Peggy Dean or Laurie Estep ASAP.   The class will continue to meet on Tuesday night for 6 weeks.

 

2) Graduating Seniors Luncheon tentatively scheduled for Sunday, April 26^th. 

3) Open Closet to be held in conjunction with the Men’s BBQ Saturday, May 2^nd.

 

4) Katrina Mission trip to the
Mississippi Coast is May 27^th through May 30^th.
